Since its inception, the foundation has awarded over 620 scholarships to students attending prestigious universities such as Auburn University, University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard University. With scholarships valued at $5,000 each, the program aims to empower students to excel academically and contribute positively to their communities.
Degree Level
The scholarship supports students pursuing:
- Undergraduate Degrees (freshmen and sophomores)
- High school seniors planning to enroll in an accredited undergraduate program
This scholarship is not available for graduate or postgraduate studies.

Employment Restriction:
- Not available to employees of Great Southern Wood Preserving, Incorporated or their immediate families
Athletics Restriction:
- Student-athletes in intercollegiate sports are ineligible
Online Learning:
- Exclusively online or distance learning students are ineligible, except when online courses are required by the on-campus curriculum
