    Scholarship Benefits:

    The Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) offers a range of benefits to its recipients, including:

    1. Economy class air travel for the scholar's journey between their home country and the host university at the beginning and end of the scholarship period. Additionally, a travel allowance of US $500 is provided for each trip.

    2. Full tuition coverage for the chosen graduate program, as well as basic medical insurance obtained through the university.

    3. A monthly subsistence allowance while on campus during the scholarship period. This allowance is intended to cover living expenses, including accommodation, food, and other essentials. The specific amount may vary depending on the host country.

    It's important to note that JJ/WBGSP scholarships cover the duration of the graduate program or a maximum of two years, whichever is shorter.

    However, there are certain expenses that the JJ/WBGSP scholarship does not cover, including:

    1. Visa application fees.

    2. Expenses related to bringing or supporting family members of the scholar.

    3. Costs associated with extra-curricular courses or training.

    4. Courses that do not meet the minimum credit requirements for earning the graduate degree.

    5. Language training not provided by the graduate program.

    6. Additional travel expenses incurred during the course of the study program.

    7. Costs related to research, supplementary educational materials, field trips, participation in workshops/seminars, or internships.

    8. Educational equipment, such as computers.

    9. Resident permit fees.

    Eligible Nationalities:

    This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalties.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Eligibility Requirements for the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJWBGSP) are as follows:

    Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the English language is required.

    Eligible Countries: Applicants from all countries around the world are eligible to apply.

    Dual Citizenship: Applicants must not hold dual citizenship of any developed country.

    Health Status: Applicants should be in good health.

    Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent), which should have been earned at least three years before the Application Deadline.

    Work Experience: Applicants should have a minimum of three years of recent work experience related to development issues after obtaining their Bachelor's degree.

    Current Employment: Applicants must be currently employed in a full-time paid position related to development work at the time of submitting their scholarship application. An exception to this is granted for developing country nationals from countries designated as Fragile and Conflict States, as indicated in the Application Guidelines.

    University Admission: Before the Scholarship Application Deadline, applicants should have received unconditional admission (except for funding) for the upcoming academic year in at least one of the preferred master's programs at JJ/WBGSP-affiliated universities. This program should be located outside the applicant's country of citizenship and country of residence as of the time when the scholarship application period begins. The letter of admission must be uploaded as part of the scholarship application.

    World Bank Affiliation: Applicants should not be an Executive Director, an alternate of an Executive Director, or hold any staff appointments within the World Bank Group. Additionally, they should not have close blood or adoptive relationships with such individuals. "Close relative" in this context includes parents, siblings, half-siblings, children, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. It's important to note that these eligibility criteria are strictly followed, with no exceptions made. They will remain consistent throughout the application proces
