Total Scholarships: A total of 222 scholarships will be awarded under the KNB program for the upcoming academic year. Who Qualifies for KNB Scholarships in 2024?

The eligibility criteria for the KNB Scholarships for Bachelor’s (BS), Master’s (MS), and Doctoral (PhD) programs are outlined below:

Bachelor’s Degree (BS) Eligibility:

• Age Requirement: Applicants must be below 25 years old.
• Educational Background: Possession of a high school degree is mandatory. Those already holding a Bachelor's degree are ineligible for another Bachelor’s program.
• English Proficiency: Essential test scores include TOEFL ITP: 477, TOEFL IBT: 53, IELTS: 5.5, or TOEIC: 510. Exceptions apply for candidates from English-speaking countries or those with prior education in English-taught programs.
• Recommendation Letters: Submission of recommendation letters from the Indonesian Embassy or the Indonesian Consulate General, and from the employer/immediate supervisor (if applicable).
• Academic Recommendation Letter: A recommendation letter from previous educational institutions.
• Citizenship Verification: A valid official passport is required.
• Online Application: Completion of the application form on the KNB Scholarship website.

Master’s Degree (MS) Eligibility:

• Age Limit: Applicants must be under 35 years old.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite. Those already possessing a Master’s degree cannot apply for another Master’s program.
• English Proficiency: Required test scores are TOEFL ITP: 500, TOEFL IBT: 61, IELTS: 6.0, or TOEIC: 575. Similar exemptions as in the Bachelor’s program apply.
• Recommendation Letters: Mandatory letters from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General and from the employer/immediate supervisor (if applicable).
• Academic Recommendation Letter: A recommendation letter from previous educational institutions.
• Citizenship Proof: Submission of a valid official passport.
• Online Application: Completion of the application form on the KNB Scholarship website.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Eligibility:

• Age Limit: Applicants must be under 40 years old.
• Educational Background: A Master’s degree is a prerequisite. Holders of a Doctorate degree cannot apply for another Doctorate program.
• English Proficiency: Required test scores are TOEFL ITP: 530, TOEFL IBT: 71, IELTS: 6.0, or TOEIC: 640. Exemptions are similar to the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.
• Recommendation Letters: Mandatory letters from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General, employer/immediate supervisor (if applicable), and a potential research supervisor at one of the KNB partner universities.
• Statement of Purpose: For Doctoral applicants, a detailed plan outlining their study and research objectives in Indonesia.
