Lanzhou University China Masters and PhD Scholarships 2024 (without IELTS) is open for International Students . The scholarship allows Masters, PhD level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Lanzhou University . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 10 Mar 2024.

Degree Level:

Lanzhou University China Masters and PhD Scholarships 2024 (without IELTS) is available to undertake Masters, PhD level programs at Lanzhou University.

  • The study period for the master's program is 2-3 years.
  • For the doctoral program, the study period is 4 years.
  • Students choosing programs taught in Chinese, lacking the necessary language entrance requirements, must undertake one year of Chinese language studies.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Tuition-Free Education: The program offers education with no tuition fees.

    Note: Students are required to independently purchase third-party liability insurance at a cost of RMB 100 per semester or RMB 200 per year.

    Eligibility Criteria:

      Degree and Age Requirements:

      • Applicants for Master's Degree studies must have a Bachelor’s Degree and be under the age of 35.
      • Applicants for Doctoral Degree studies must have a Master’s Degree and be under the age of 40.
      • Strong academic performance and outstanding scientific research ability are essential.

        Scholarship Regulations:

        • Applicants must not accept other scholarships concurrently.
        • Chinese government scholarship recipients are not allowed to obtain additional scholarships (excluding one-time incentives) from the Chinese government or admitting institutions simultaneously.
        • Violation of this rule may lead to the cancellation of the student's Chinese government scholarship, and funds received must be refunded.
        • Deliberate concealment of funding information will result in disqualification, with affected individuals ineligible to apply for Chinese government scholarships for three years.

          Language Proficiency Requirements:

          • For Chinese-taught programs, a valid HSK Level 4 score of 180 or above is required (certificate valid for two years).
          • Applicants with degrees from Chinese universities with Chinese as the language of instruction are exempt from providing an HSK certificate.
          • For English-taught programs, a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 80, or equivalent proof of English proficiency, is mandatory.
          • Native English speakers are exempt from submitting a certificate of English proficiency.

          • Two recommendation letters.
          • Photocopy of research achievements.
          • Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
          • Non-criminal record report.

          1. Complete online application at http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/register (Program category: B; Agency code: 10730).
          2. Finish online application at Lanzhou University's system: https://apply.lzu.edu.cn/en/site/login. Upload all original documents' scanned copies.
          3. After approval, send pre-admission documents and re-upload to Chinese Government Scholarship Information System.
