Domus Academy and Gufram Lab are launching scholarship competitionĀ for Master In Design at Domus Academy. The competition is open toĀ graduates in design and architecture an to people with an appropriateĀ background and professional experience in the design field.Ā Three scholarships of 70% , 50% and 30% of the total tuition feeĀ of the Master Program are offered as prizes. Projects must be sent toĀ the by e-mail and post till 3rd May 2013.Study Subject(s): The scholarship is provided for the MasterĀ in Design which aims at training students to grow into individuals capableĀ of developing remarkable professional skills and willing to play an activeĀ role while proposing new intuitions, aesthetic visions and culturalĀ values.

Eligibility: -Candidates holding a first-level academicĀ diploma or BA degree, or about to graduate within the academic year 2012/13 andĀ with a knowledge of the English language (IEL TS 5.0 academic or equivalentĀ certificate minimum).

Scholarship Description: Candidates are asked to identifyĀ new product concepts that will maintain both the continuity with the values ofĀ the historical brand, and lead to new directions to be explored. The field ofĀ research we want to approach encompasses all the existing typologies in domesticĀ furniture.The competition is open to graduates in design and architecture an toĀ people with an appropriate background and professional experience in the designĀ field. Most of the items in its catalogue are radical experimentations ofĀ those years, a period during which designers were working together with artistsĀ and architects to explore new forms and new materials (for example: expandedĀ polyurethane). The distinctive elements of Gufram production are: theĀ relationship with art,Ā iconicity,Ā stylistic discontinuity withĀ domestic furniture and originality.

How to Apply: Projects in digital format must be sentĀ by e-mail to competitions-at-domusacademy.it. Paper works must be sent byĀ post. Participants can choose the presentation technique that betterĀ express their skills (they can use hand sketches, digital illustrations, 3DĀ renderings, etc): maximum 5 A3 boards in .PDF or .TIFF files. -Short writtenĀ description of the project: maximum 1 A4 page. -Curriculum vitae of theĀ participant: maximum 1 A4 page -Statement of purpose: maximum 5 lines on anĀ A4 page. - Domus Academy Application Form* The candidates are asked toĀ send their materials in one sole file in .PDF format.
