Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship does not come with any obligatory service commitment.

Initially, the scholarship is granted for one year and can be extended based on satisfactory progress. For Ph.D. candidates, the maximum duration of the scholarship is 4 years, contingent on school decisions and the availability of research funding.

Monthly Stipend (effective from August 2023):

• Singapore Citizen: S$4,000
• Singapore Permanent Resident: S$3,800
• International Student: S$3,500

Conference Allowance: Up to S$4,000 per financial year (April of the previous year to March of the current year).

Book Allowance: An annual grant of S$500.

IT Allowance: A one-time allowance of S$1,500.

Thesis Allowance: A one-time allowance of S$600, disbursed during the final year of scholarship renewal.

For Singapore Citizens, Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions are provided at a rate linked to the prevailing employer's contribution rate, in addition to the monthly stipend.

International Students are required to fulfill teaching or laboratory supervision duties as part of the Graduate Assistantship Programme (GAP). Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents may also participate in GAP at the discretion of the schools.

The scholarship covers the annual tuition fee, and priority is given for subsidized on-campus accommodation.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to domestic and international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates of any nationality are welcome to apply, although preference will be given to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents.

Applicants should have attained an Honours (Highest Distinction) or an equivalent qualification at the Bachelor's level.

If you have not yet completed your undergraduate degree program, you must provide documentation from your university indicating that you are on track to achieve an Honours (Highest Distinction) degree or its equivalent.

Application Procedure:

The application for Academic Year 2024-2025 (August 2024 and January 2025) will open from 01 October to 31 December 2023.
