The Radboud University Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year is a partially funded master's scholarship designed for international students. The Radboud Scholarship will significantly lower your tuition fees to €2,530. For instance, a recipient for the 2024/2025 academic year will only be required to pay a tuition fee of €2,530 instead of the standard €17,000. Additionally, the scholarship includes provisions for visa, residence permit, health insurance, and liability insurance during your stay in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance). It's important to note that the scholarship does not cover the living and study expenses in the Netherlands.

The Radboud Scholarship Programme stands as a highly competitive scholarship initiative. It caters to exceptionally talented and driven non-EEA students with remarkable academic achievements, offering them the chance to receive a scholarship for a full English-taught master's degree program at Radboud University.

For the 2024/25 academic year, a total of 37 Radboud Scholarships are available across different faculties: Faculty of Arts (2), Faculty of Law (14), Faculty of Medical Sciences (7), Nijmegen School of Management (3), Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies (1), Faculty of Science (8), and Faculty of Social Sciences (2).

If you are selected as a scholarship recipient and gain admission to a two-year Master’s program, you must pass all first-year courses to be eligible for the grant in the second year.

It's essential to note that the Radboud Scholarship cannot be combined with the Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship, Orange Tulip Scholarship, or Holland Scholarship. While you can apply for multiple scholarships, only one will be awarded.

Scholarship Benefits:

A Radboud Scholarship will reduce your tuition fee to €2.530,-. For example: a grant holder in 2024/2025 will pay a tuition fee of only €2.530,- instead of €17,000. The scholarship also covers costs for visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance for your stay in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance). The costs of living and studying in the Netherlands are not covered by the scholarship.

This scholarship is open to international students.

Eligibility Criteria:

You will only be eligible to apply for a Radboud Scholarship if you:

  1. hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport.
  2. are not eligible for the lower EU/EEA tuition fee for other reasons.
  3. have (will obtain) a Bachelor's degree achieved outside the Netherlands, have no degrees achieved in the Netherlands and did not receive any previous education in the Netherlands (exchange programmes excluded, provided that they are part of the Bachelor's degree achieved outside the Netherlands).
  4. meet the English language proficiency requirement for the Master's programme of your choice.
  5. have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master's programme starting 1 September 2024 as stated in the formal letter of admission.
  6. are able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.
  7. are enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master's programme for which the scholarship will be awarded.

Application Procedure:

To apply for the Radboud Scholarship, follow these steps:

  1. When applying for admission to a Master's program, indicate in the OSIRIS Application system that you wish to apply for a Radboud Scholarship.

  2. You'll be asked to upload three additional documents: two reference letters and a curriculum vitae. If you've already uploaded these documents for your Master's program application, you can use the same documents for your scholarship application.

  3. Keep in mind that the scholarship selection process and the Master's program admission process are separate. Being admitted to the Master's program does not guarantee selection for the scholarship.

Application Deadline:

Your application in the online OSIRIS Application system must be submitted by January 31, 2024, at 23:59 CEST at the latest. Afterward, Radboud University's Student Admissions office will review your OSIRIS Application, and if there are any issues with your application, it will be sent back to you for corrections.

You need to resubmit your corrected application as soon as possible. It must be complete by February 14, 2024, at 23:59 CEST at the latest. Please be aware that incomplete applications will not be considered for the Radboud Scholarship selection.

We recommend that you also submit your proof of English proficiency before the deadline of February 14, 2024.

The final decision regarding your Radboud Scholarship application will be communicated by the Student Life and International Mobility department before mid-April 2024 (date subject to change).
