The Beaty Martinez Foundation Scholarship is a highly competitive award designed to support underprivileged Arizona high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and leadership potential. The foundation’s mission is to develop the next generation of leaders for a stronger Arizona by making higher education more accessible.
Each year, the Beaty Martinez Foundation awards scholarships of up to $10,000 to qualified students pursuing college or community college education within the state of Arizona.
Degree Level
- Undergraduate (Incoming College Freshmen)
This scholarship is intended for Arizona high school seniors entering college for the first time.
Available Subjects
- All majors and fields of study are eligible
- Must attend:
- An Arizona in-state university, or
- An Arizona community college
Benefits
- Up to $10,000 in financial support
- Funds split equally between Fall and Spring semesters
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to the college or university
- Automatic Spring disbursement with continued full-time enrollment

- Nationality: U.S. students
- Residency: Must be an Arizona resident for tuition purposes
- College Location: Must enroll in an in-state Arizona institution
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Beaty Martinez Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an Arizona high school senior
- Be accepted to an Arizona in-state university or community college
- Be an Arizona resident for tuition purposes
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Demonstrate financial need
- Enroll full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester)
Application Procedure
Eligible students should complete the following steps:
- Complete the Online Scholarship Application
- Includes short-answer essay questions and a personal statement
- Obtain Two Letters of Recommendation
- From teachers, counselors, or community leaders
- Submit Academic Records
- Copy of unofficial high school transcripts
- Submit All Materials Online
- Applications must be submitted through the official scholarship application form
- Application Deadline: May 1.
Selection Process & Timeline
- Applications are reviewed by the Beaty Martinez Foundation Board of Directors
- Review begins approximately six weeks after the application deadline
- Finalists may be invited for interviews before final selection
- Scholarship funds are disbursed in August, directly to the institution
