The PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarship Program is available for students pursuing a first undergraduate degree at a recognized college or university.

Applicants must be pursuing majors in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related disciplines. These fields may include:

Benefits
The PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarship Program provides financial assistance through multiple award levels:
20 scholarships of $10,000
20 scholarships of $5,000
20 scholarships of $2,500
Additional benefits include:
Total authorized scholarship distribution of $350,000
Funds are distributed in August through Scholarship America
Scholarship recipients are notified in mid-May
Scholarships are not renewable, but students may reapply annually for up to five years if they continue to meet eligibility requirements
Eligible Nationalities
The scholarship is open to students residing in PG&E’s service territory in California or dependents of eligible residents. Students must plan to study at a four-year college or university in California or a U.S. Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be a high school senior, high school graduate, GED recipient, or current undergraduate student
Nontraditional students or veterans returning to school are encouraged to apply
Must be a resident of PG&E’s service area or a dependent of an eligible resident
Plan to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program in the upcoming academic year
Must be pursuing a first undergraduate degree
Intend to major in an eligible STEM field
Demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and financial need
