Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Be a Jewish high school senior or a previous Gilbert Scholarship recipient
Plan to enroll full-time in an eligible undergraduate institution
Demonstrate financial need
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 (for new applicants) on a 4.0 scale
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (for renewal applicants)
Show active involvement in the Jewish community
Have permanent residence in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area
Special consideration may be given to graduates of San Francisco’s Lowell High School or Washington High School.
