The WMGA Foundation Scholarship is now open for applications, offering financial support to young women pursuing higher education in the United States. Funded by the Women's Metropolitan Golf Association Foundation, this scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate financial need, academic excellence, leadership, and a strong connection to golf.

Since its establishment in 2001, the foundation has supported over 100 female students, making it a valuable opportunity for those balancing academics with athletic passion.

Eligible Nationalities

Applicants must:

• Be female students
• Reside within the WMGA service area, including:
  • Within a 60-mile radius of New York City
  • All of Long Island

Applicants must also be planning to attend or currently attending an accredited institution in the U.S.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Demonstrate a connection to the game of golf (participation or involvement)
• Show financial need through:
  • FAFSA
  • Student Aid Report (SAR)
  • Tax returns (parental and/or personal)
• Provide academic proof:
  • SAT/ACT scores
  • School transcripts
• Exhibit:
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong character and integrity
• Be willing to attend a personal interview if shortlisted
