   • When applying for Doctoral programs, applicants must be under the age of 40.

6. Exclusivity Clause:

   • Applicants must not be recipients of any other scholarship funded by the Chinese government during the period of receiving the SDU Scholarship.

Application Procedure:

English Language Requirements for SDU Scholarship Applicants:

1. Native English Speakers:

   • Applicants whose native language is English are exempt from providing English language certification.

2. Non-Native English Speakers:

   • Applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit English proficiency test results, such as:
     • IELTS (6.0 or above)
     • TOEFL (80 points or above, SDU’s DI code: C296)
     • MyBest Scores (80 points or above)
     • Essentials test (8 points or above)
     • Other equivalent certificates of English proficiency.

3. Degree from English-Instructed Institution:

   • Applicants who have obtained their highest degree in an institution where the primary language of instruction is English do not need to provide IELTS/TOEFL scores.
   • Instead, they must submit a letter of proof, signed, and stamped by the administering institution, stating that the entire program was delivered in English.

• The final result of the SDU Scholarship is expected to be announced on August 1st, 2024. Applicants are encouraged to stay informed and await official communication regarding the outcome of their scholarship application.
