About 700 English-taught master’s programmes are eligible for the SI scholarship for Global Professionals, covering programmes in the fields of humanities, agricultural science, medicine and public health, natural science, social science, and technology.

Scholarship Benefits:

The Scholarship for Global Professionals is a highly competitive, fully-funded scholarship offering comprehensive benefits:

• Full tuition fee coverage, paid directly by SI to the Swedish university at the start of each semester.
• A monthly stipend of SEK 12,000 to sustain living expenses during the entire study duration.
• Comprehensive insurance covering illness and accidents.
• A travel grant of SEK 15,000 (except for scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, who receive SEK 10,000). This one-time payment is not applicable to students already residing in Sweden.
• Membership in the SI Network for Future Global Professionals (NFGP), providing a platform for professional growth and networking opportunities in Sweden.
• Post-scholarship, become a part of the SI Alumni Network for continued networking and professional development.

However, this scholarship does not:

• Offer additional grants for family members.
• Cover application fees to University Admissions.
• Allow changes to the selected study program. Support is solely for the awarded master’s program.
• Permit extensions or modifications to the granted scholarship duration.

Eligibility Criteria:

• To qualify for the SI scholarship, your citizenship must align with the eligible countries, but residency in that country at the time of application isn't mandatory.
• Your chosen master's programmes must meet the criteria set by the SI scholarship, with over 750+ English-based options available. Access the comprehensive list for selection.
• Ensure your university admission includes liability for Swedish university tuition fees and follows the University Admissions procedures, with acceptance into an eligible master's program by March 30, 2023.
• For candidates, prior experience in the form of work and leadership roles, verified through employment or civil society engagement, is required, with some regional conditions applicable.

How to Apply for the Sweden Government Scholarship 2024?

Step 1: Apply for a Master Program via University Admissions

• Apply for up to 4 master’s programs through UniversityAdmissions.se for Autumn 2024 by January 15, 2024.
• Obtain a personal application number upon completion.

Step 2: Apply for a Global Professionals Scholarship (SI)

• The SI scholarship portal opens on November 1, 2023, and closes on February 28, 2024.
• Prepare required documents: CV (not exceeding three pages), two reference letters, proof of work experience, valid passport copy, and a motivation letter.
