Scholarship Description:

The Slovak Government's National Scholarship Program (NSP) for 2024 opens doors to an extraordinary educational journey for international students, PhD candidates, university teachers, researchers, and artists eager to broaden their academic and professional horizons in Slovakia. Established in 2005 and generously funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research, and Sport of the Slovak Republic, this initiative is a testament to Slovakia's commitment to fostering global talent and collaboration.

Degree Level:

Slovak Government's National Scholarship Program (NSP) 2024 is available to undertake Masters, PhD level programs at Slovekia Universities.

Scholarship Benefits:

The NSP provides significant financial support as follows:

  • For Students: A substantial monthly stipend of 620 EUR is granted.
  • For PhD Students: Beneficiaries receive a monthly allowance of 1025.50 EUR.
  • For Academics and Artists: Monthly allowances, determined by qualifications and experience, range from 1025.50 EUR to 1470 EUR.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    The NSP accommodates:

    • Students: Master's program or equivalent enrolled university students located outside Slovakia, having completed a minimum of 2.5 years of study, and eligible for stays lasting 1-2 semesters.

    • PhD Students: Individuals involved in higher education or scientific training outside Slovakia, qualified for stays spanning 1-10 months.

    • University Teachers, Researchers, Artists: Global academics and artists specifically invited for teaching, research, or artistic engagements in Slovakia, with eligibility for stays extending from 1 to 10 months.

    Applicants are required to utilize the online platform at www.scholarships.sk for submission. It is strongly recommended to complete the application well in advance of the deadline to prevent potential system overloads. The necessary documentation varies depending on the applicant category but typically includes a CV, a motivation letter, a detailed study/research plan, and pertinent confirmations or invitation letters from Slovak institutions.
