The Spingarn Alumni Association Scholarship Program 2026 is an excellent funding opportunity for graduating high school seniors in the Washington Metropolitan Area who are planning to pursue college or vocational education. Established to support students with financial need and academic promise, the scholarship continues the legacy of the Spingarn Alumni Association by helping deserving students achieve their educational goals.

Since 1997, the Spingarn Alumni Association has awarded over $177,000 in scholarships to students from Spingarn High School and neighboring schools. Although Spingarn Senior High School closed in 2012, the association remains committed to supporting students through scholarships and post-secondary education assistance.

The scholarship offers awards of $1,000, with the number of awards varying each year based on available funding and donations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Public high school students should be recommended by members who will support the application
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Must plan to attend college, vocational training, or another post-secondary institution
