Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship provides full tuition coverage for the entire program length.

Eligible Nationalities:

Applicants must be currently domiciled in one of the eligible countries as derived from the  DAC List of ODA Recipients 2024-2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

Ideally, upon graduation, successful scholarship recipients will pursue careers in countries that will benefit most from their advanced medical training. Students with no prior experience in Master's level studies will be given priority.

The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship is available to students enrolling in the 2024-2025 academic year for one of the designated Human Medical programs. The scholarship particularly welcomes applications from students from Africa.

2. University Application: Apply for admission to the University of Edinburgh. You'll need your university login credentials to access the scholarship application after your admission application is processed (up to 5 working days).
3. Complete the Online Application: Head to MyEd, the university's information portal, and log in with your university username and password. There, you'll find the scholarship application form in EUCLID.
4. Application Deadline: Don't miss out! Submit your application by May 30th, 2024, at 11:59 PM BST (British Summer Time).

Selection Factors

The Glenmore Medical Postgraduate Scholarship considers two main factors when selecting recipients:

• Academic Achievement: We look for candidates with a strong academic record, indicated by a first-class honours degree (or its overseas equivalent).

• Strength of Personal Statement: A compelling personal statement (maximum 3500 characters) is important. Here are the specific questions your statement should address:

  1. What aspects of this program at the University of Edinburgh particularly appealed to you?
  2. How will graduating from this program at the University of Edinburgh advance your career and personal development?
  3. In what ways do you envision contributing to your community/region or country after completing this program at the University of Edinburgh?
