University of Hull PhD Studentships for UK, EU and International students.

To get University of Hull PhD Studentships for UK, EU and International students you should have an undergraduate degree with at least a 2.1 and Masters or equivalent in a relevant subject. Full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarships will include fees at the ‘home/EU’ student rate and maintenance (£13,863 in 2014/15) for three years, depending on satisfactory progress. Full-time International Fee PhD Studentships will include full fees at the International student rate for three years, dependent on satisfactory progress. The closing date for application is 2nd February, 2015.

• Under University of Hull PhD Studentships Studentships are awarded in the interdisciplinary areas of Digital and Creative Sectors, Energy and Environment, Humber Development Institute, Institute for Clinical and Applied Health Research, Logistics Institute, Maritime Institute, Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation within the faculty of Arts and Social Science, Education, Health and Social Care, Hull University Business School, Hull-York Medical School and Science and Engineering.

The University is making a very significant investment in its research portfolio by offering, in an open competition, up to 80 full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarships (or international fees bursaries) across the University. Through these Scholarships we aim to develop future sector leaders who have excellent academic and transferable skills, a knowledge of the major challenges facing the world, and an understanding of how research translates into impact through working with a wide range of subject specialists and external stakeholders and partners.

• Studentships will be awarded for three years.


• Full-time UK/EU PhD Scholarships will include fees at the ‘home/EU’ student rate and maintenance (£13,863 in 2014/15) for three years, depending on satisfactory progress. Full-time International Fee PhD Studentships will include full fees at the International student rate for three years, dependent on satisfactory progress.


• Successful applicants will be informed of the award as soon as possible and by 20th March 2015 at the latest.
