1. Applied for admission to a Higher Degree by Research course between 1st January and 30th June.
2. Not currently enrolled as a full-time, on-campus student in the Armidale area.
3. Open to candidates, both Domestic and International.
4. Aligned with the National Skills Priorities outlined by the Australian Government.
5. Special consideration given to educationally under-represented groups and individuals not currently benefiting from other scholarship programs.

English Language Requirements at UNE

The University of New England (UNE) maintains specific language proficiency standards for admission, applicable to all students regardless of their intended mode of study or location. If English is not your primary language, you have several avenues to showcase your proficiency:

Approved English Language Tests:

UNE acknowledges the following test score criteria:

1. IELTS (Academic): Attain an overall score of at least 6.0, with no sub-band scoring below 5.5.
