About Wilson Center:

The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars has a mission to connect the realms of ideas and policymaking by supporting exceptional scholarship and linking it to issues of significance for Washington officials.

Established in 1968 by Congress as a national memorial to President Wilson, the Center is not a static monument but a vibrant institution dedicated to upholding "the ideals and concerns of Woodrow Wilson." President Wilson, being both a distinguished scholar and a national leader, emphasized the importance of uniting scholars and policymakers in a shared endeavor. The Center takes this vision seriously, working diligently to bridge the gap between ideas and public policy, fostering creative exchanges that enrich the work of both scholars and policymakers.

Apart from its residential program, the Center conducts research through various initiatives, hosts conferences and seminars, and disseminates its work and fellows' research through its website and email marketing. Fellows are actively encouraged to participate in the Center's conferences, meetings, and seminars, engaging in diverse dialogues that enrich their experience.

Diversity and inclusion are paramount values for the Wilson Center in all aspects of its operations. The Center is dedicated to adapting programs, policies, and practices to promote diversity, inclusivity, and equity across its operations, aligning these efforts with its overarching mission.
