Eligibility Criteria:

Interested in studying in China at no cost? Apply for the Xiamen University Chinese Government Scholarship 2024, offering higher education opportunities without financial obligations. Prior to application, review the criteria and prerequisites for the XMU Scholarship by CSC 2024 listed below:

• Open to international students of all nationalities, welcoming applicants worldwide.
• Bachelor’s degree applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification.
• For Bachelor’s degree applicants, the age limit is 25 years.
• Master’s degree applicants need a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.
• Master’s degree applicants should be under 35 years old.
• Doctoral degree applicants must hold a Master’s degree.
• The age limit for Doctoral degree candidates is 40 years.
• Fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the respective programs and universities of application.
• Meet the language proficiency standards for the selected programs.
• Candidates lacking Chinese proficiency but intending to undergo remedial Chinese studies before beginning their program must provide the HKS certificate during application.
• Applicants in humanities, management, arts, economics, law, and traditional Chinese medicine require an HSK band 4 certificate with a score of 180 or above. Certain engineering, sciences, and medicine programs may necessitate an HKS band 3 certification with a score of 180 or above

Application Procedure:

Required Documents for XMU CSC Scholarship:

• Scanned first page of passport valid until October 31, 2024
• Identity documents and notarized degree certificates
• Certificate of Expected Graduation or Official Degree
• Language Proficiency Certificate
• Two Letters of Recommendation
• Personal Statement (minimum 1,000 words) and CV
• Pre-acceptance letter from the supervisor (for postgraduate applicants)
• Physical Examination Record and No Criminal Record Report
• Other supporting documents

Application Process:

1. Register and submit online via the CSC Online Application System (Code: 10384).
2. Choose program category type B for the scholarship.
3. Complete the form, download, print the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarships, and sign it.
4. Register and submit online via "Xiamen University Online Application System."
5. Upload required documents, including the CSC application form, and apply before the deadline.
6. Admission to XMU academic programs approved by CSC is necessary for scholarship consideration.
7. The final list of scholars will be announced in August 2024.
