ASEAN Countries Scholarship at Kasetsart University, Thiland

Kasetsart University is offering ASEAN Scholarship for the citizens of ASEAN member countries excluding Thailand. The scholarships are awarded to study M.S. English Program in Agricultural and Resource Economics (ARE). Scholarships include tuition fee and monthly research assistant stipend including research expenditure and health insurance. The closing date for application is 30 April, 2015.

Eligibility:
-Successful candidates must be a citizen of ASEAN member countries excluding Thailand, and be accepted for admission to the M.S. Agricultural and Resource Economics Program for 2015 academic year.
-must maintain 3.5/4.0 GPA every semester or the scholarship will be terminated
-must publish at least one paper in Thailand Citation Index or Scopus journals within 3 years after the start of the program

• Citizens of ASEAN member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam) excluding Thailand can apply for this scholarship.


• Over a quarter century, the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics of Kasetsart University was the only institution of higher education in Thailand which offered formal degree training in agricultural economics. Since 1960’s, there has been a rapid expansion in higher education and this has led to the establishment of B.S. degree program in agricultural economics in the regional universities. Starting from 1961 the Department of Agricultural Economics, became a regional center for short and long term training for midcareer professionals from the ASEAN member countries.


• Scholarship will be offered for the whole two-year program.


• Scholarship includes
  – tuition fee waiver
  – 8,000 baht/month (US$ 245) stipend for 24 months
  – up to 50,000 baht (US$1,500) research expenditure/year for 2 years
  – 4,000 baht/year insurance coverage for 2 years
