Through their scholarships, Brot für die Welt (BfdW) fosters the growth of a global community of experts dedicated to its mission. These young scholars serve as catalysts for change, reinforcing the societal and developmental contributions of NGOs and churches in the Global South and Eastern Europe.
This scholarship program is designed for young adults from developing countries in Eastern Europe and other regions (often referred to as the Global South). They're looking for applicants who:
If you're nominated by an organization that works on these issues (like NGOs, churches, or Protestant universities in your region), your application will get a closer look. These organizations might be where you work, hope to work, or volunteer.
Even if you aren't nominated by an organization, don't worry! Independent applicants can still compete for about a third of the available scholarships.
