Entry requirements

Admission to the TESL program is contingent upon meeting Laval University’s French language policy. If your previous education was conducted in a language other than French, you will need to demonstrate proficiency in French through an approved assessment. Additionally, applicants must possess a diploma equivalent to 13 years of education, such as:

  • French baccalaureate
  • Baccalaureate from recognized institutions in French-speaking African countries
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) from an English-speaking country with three A Levels relevant to the intended field of study

Those with a French baccalaureate, general or technological baccalaureate, or the International Baccalaureate (IB) may qualify for direct admission to undergraduate programs.
