Entry requirements

Entry into the programme is determined by qualifications and UCAS tariff points. A variety of qualifications are accepted, including A levels and BTEC National qualifications in Applied Science.

Typical UCAS tariff requirement: 64 UCAS points.

A levels: At least 24 points in any one A level, with a minimum of 16 points from a science subject (biology, chemistry, or human biology). General studies are not accepted.

BTEC: BTEC National qualification in Applied Science (for instance, an appropriate BTEC Extended Diploma profile).

Other accepted routes: T level passes in Health-Care Science or Science, or a combination of qualifications, including AS levels and an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Access route: Access to HE Diploma from a QAA-recognized Access to HE course in a science-based subject is considered. Typically, this includes 15 credits at level 2 and 45 credits at level 3.
