Eligibility Criteria for DAAD-ERP Study Scholarship:

  • Language skills (German or English) according to the requirements of the desired study programme have to be proved.
  • Applicants must hold at least their first academic degree.
  • Applicants should have taken the final examinations of their last academic degree no longer than six years before the time of application.
  • Excellently-qualified graduates who have completed a first degree (Bachelor, Diplom or comparable academic degree) in the field of Economics and Business Administration at the latest by the time they commence their scholarship-supported study programme.


Application Procedure for DAAD-ERP Study Scholarship:

The entire application process is handled online through the DAAD portal. The portal opens for submissions roughly six weeks before the deadline. Here's what you'll need to do:

  • Check the Portal: The "Submitting an Application" tab in the scholarship database is only active during the application period.
  • Gather Documents: Scan and upload the required documents (listed below) before the deadline.
  • Submit on Time: Applications received after the deadline (usually midnight CET) won't be considered.
  • Ensure your application is complete before submitting.

  • CV (max 3 pages)
  • Letter of Motivation (1-2 pages) explaining your reasons for studying in Germany
  • Letter of Admission (if available)
  • Preferred Master's program information form
  • University Degree Certificate (final grades) - can be submitted later if not available now

  • Letter of Recommendation (from a university teacher) - can be submitted by mail as an alternative

  • All university transcripts (with grades and grading system explanation)
  • German/English translations (for non-English/German documents)
  • School leaving certificate (with grades)

Important Notes:

  • The DAAD will only request certified copies of submitted documents if your application is successful.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.


Deadline:

The deadline to apply for the DAAD scholarship typically falls around October 31st each year. Decisions are made in February-March, with funding starting the following October.
