Eramus Mundus Masters Courses (EMMSs) Scholarships for 4CITIES - UNICA Euromaster in Urban Studies 2013-14
4CITIES is a two-year interdisciplinary master’s programme in urban studies, organised within UNICA, the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe, financially supported by the European Commission.

How to Apply
Applications and the information link for the academic year 2013-2014 will be open from half October onwards. We already inform you that the master has been granted the title of ‘Erasmus Mundus Master Course’ from 2013 onwards. That means we are at the moment adapting the application and information. An Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses will be offering scholarships for courses starting in the academic year 2013-2014. Our consortium website will only become operational nearer the time the application period opens (i.e. half October 2012).
You can apply for this programme if you have a 180 ECTS bachelor degree in geography, sociology, literature & cultural studies, architecture & planning, economy, political sciences, public management, tourism, history, criminology, leisure studies, media studies or a similar discipline.
PROOF OF ENGLISH
Students belonging to the EEA (European Economic Area)* require no proof of language proficiency, but it will be tested by a telephone interview if the student is accepted.
For students not belonging tot the EEA proof of proficiency in English is compulsory and can be documented by one of the following certificates:
- a document attesting that at least 1 year of secondary education has been completed in English;
- a diploma of primary education stating that English was the language of instruction;
- a document attesting that English was the language of instruction for several academic courses followed (at least 15ECTS)
- a language test: only TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, CPE, CAE are accepted. The minimum requirements are TOEFL: paper-based: 550, computer-based: 213, internet-based: 80; TOEIC: 860; IELTS-academic module: Band 6.5; CPE: Grade C; CAE: Grade B. Scores should be send directly by the examination centre to the VUB under sealed envelope. Officially authenticated copies are not accepted.
