Scholarship Description:

The Chinese Government Scholarship offered by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is now open for applications for the year 2024. This prestigious scholarship, available to students from all nations, supports both master's and doctoral degree programs at HIT. Scholarship Duration

1. Master's Degree Programs usually span a duration of 3 years; however, certain schools and majors may have different durations:

   • 2 years: School of Management, School of Instrumentation Science and Engineering, School of Life Science and Technology.
   • 2.5 years: Faculty of Computing, School of Architecture.

2. Doctoral Degree Programs typically have a duration of 4 years.

Eligibility Criteria:

Basic Requirements:

1. Citizenship outside the People's Republic of China.
2. Good mental and physical health.
3. Adherence to Chinese laws, university regulations, and guidelines.
4. Exclusion from receiving multiple scholarships concurrently.

Other Requirements:

1. For Master's degree: Bachelor's degree holder under 35. For Doctoral degree: Master's degree holder under 40.
2. Language proficiency:
   • Chinese-taught programs: HSK level 4 ≥ 210 scores (valid for two years).
   • English-taught programs: TOEFL ≥ 78 scores, IELTS ≥ 6.0 scores, or equivalent English proficiency certificate.
3. Documentation showcasing exceptional academic achievements, sports, arts, cultural exchanges, public welfare activities, etc. (optional).
