Scholarship Benefits:

The KU Leuven Scholarship offers recipients the following benefits:

• The scholarship amount can reach a maximum of 10,000 Euros for a single year. The precise scholarship value will be determined by the Science@Leuven Fund Board. It consistently covers the tuition fees for one year, along with insurance and basic health coverage. The living expenses allowance may vary.

• Even if a student is granted the full scholarship of 10,000 Euros, it is advisable to have some additional funds available.

• Most master's programs at the Faculty of Science have a duration of two years. The scholarship for the second year of the master's program will be extended only if the student has achieved exceptional results during the first year.

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for the KU Leuven Scholarship, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

• Language Proficiency: Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in English, with a minimum TOEFL score of 94 or a minimum IELTS score of 7.

• Nationality: The scholarship is open to applicants from all countries around the world.

• Previous Affiliation: Applicants should not have previously studied or worked at the University of Leuven.

2. Utilize the KU Leuven application tool to upload the following information:

   • A comprehensive list of course titles for which you have earned credits. Include details on the course size (in ECTS-credits) and your results, preferably using the ECTS-scale. If a different scoring system is used, provide a concise explanation of the score interpretation.
   • Provide concise descriptions, adhering to standard ECTS-study guide guidelines, for the courses that you consider most relevant to the master's program you are interested in.
   • Include two reference letters from internationally renowned professors.
   • Submit a letter of motivation for the program.

3. After you have successfully completed and submitted your application for the master's program, you will receive a confirmation message on the screen. It is crucial to take a screenshot of this message, as you will be required to upload it during the registration process for the Science@Leuven Scholarship.

Important Note:

• Only students who have fulfilled all the requirements mentioned above will be eligible for the scholarship.
