Awarding Institute/Country: The University of Twente in Netherlands is providing these Scholarships.

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for the University of Twente Scholarship to attend Bachelor’s programme in Technology and Liberal Arts & Sciences (ATLAS) during the academic year 2015-2016. ASF Scholarships are valid for three academic years, provided that the recipient remains eligible based on the given conditions. The amount of ASF scholarship depends on the nationality of the applicant. Scholarships are awarded are to students who are unable to attend the University College Twente without an ASF Scholarship. The application deadline is 1 May.

The University College Twente offers an interdisciplinary Bachelor’s programme in Technology and Liberal Arts & Sciences (ATLAS) for top students, integrating social and technical perspectives into a new engineering approach. The ATLAS Scholarship Fund (ASF) grants financial aid to students admitted to ATLAS programme who would be unable to participate in the programme without such aid. The scholarships are awarded in order to foster the excellence and the diversity of the ATLAS student population.

Eligibility:
-Students should have been admitted to the ATLAS programme.
-display strong motivation and have earned excellent grades in secondary school.
-maintain good academic results throughout the programme and graduate within three academic years.
-are an asset to the ATLAS community in terms of excellence or in terms of diversity.
-are unable to attend the University College Twente without an ASF Scholarship. For Dutch students, this means receiving a maximum additional grant from DUO. International students must prove their financial need by submitting a budgetary proposal, or by sending copies of the salary statements of both parents (or legal guardians) and recent tax returns.

Eligible Group: Dutch students, EU/EEA/Swiss students and Non-EU/EEA students are eligible to apply for this University of Twente scholarship programme.

  • ASF Scholarships are valid for three academic years, provided that the recipient remains eligible based on the given conditions.

  • The amount of ASF scholarship depends on the nationality of the applicant. The amounts for the 2014-2015 academic year are as follows: Dutch students: €1,920, EU/EEA/Swiss students: between €2,340 and €4,680 and for Non-EU/EEA students: between €5,700 and €11,400. The updated information for the 2015-2016 academic year will be published in the first quarter of 2015.


How to Apply: To apply for the ATLAS Scholarship Fund, fill in the online form. After we receive your application, the Admission Committee of University College Twente will assess your eligibility as a scholarship candidate and determine any scholarship amount to be awarded.
