The M.A. Religion and Global Futures at the University of Bayreuth explores the complex interplay between religion and significant global issues such as climate change, pandemics, inequality, migration, and conflict. This program equips students with the skills to analyze religious traditions and translocal movements through research-informed methodologies from the study of religion and related disciplines.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a total of 180 ECTS in the Study of Religion. This must include at least 30 ECTS specifically in the Study of Religion. A minimum grade of 2.5 on the German grading scale (or the international equivalent) is required.
