Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing (MSc) builds advanced capability in biologics production, quality systems, and process improvement—so you can contribute to safe, consistent manufacturing of medicines. The programme uses a blended learning approach with strong work-based learning. You complete a year-long applied research project in your workplace where possible, or through an ATU/GMIT applied research centre.
The Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing (MSc) program at Atlantic Technological University equips students with advanced skills in the production of biologics, quality systems, and process enhancement. This comprehensive course prepares you to play a vital role in the safe and reliable manufacturing of pharmaceuticals.
This program utilizes a blended learning approach that combines online coursework with on-campus instruction. A significant component of the curriculum is a year-long applied research project, which can be conducted at your workplace or through one of ATU's applied research centers.
The MSc program is structured around a series of specialized modules and an extensive applied research project. The curriculum is designed to develop a strong foundation in scientific principles while also addressing regulated manufacturing practices.
Applied research project: Throughout the year, you will engage in a significant project related to manufacturing or quality challenges within a relevant workplace. If a workplace project is not feasible, ATU will assist in facilitating the project through an applied research center.
