What you'll study

The programme typically covers core areas of psychology across four years, combining university general requirements with major-specific coursework and supervised practical training. You will study foundational subjects such as introduction to psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology and personality theory, alongside courses in research methods, statistics for the behavioural sciences and psychological measurement.

• Core theoretical modules: Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology (child, adolescent and lifespan), Social Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Personality and Individual Differences.
• Clinical and applied modules: Abnormal Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Assessment, Educational and Community Psychology, Rehabilitation and Behavioural Intervention.
• Biological and cognitive bases: Biological Psychology/Neuropsychology, Sensation and Perception, Cognitive Processes.
• Research and professional skills: Research Methods, Psychological Statistics, Test Construction and Psychometrics, Ethics in Psychology.
• Practical experience and project work: Supervised practicum or internship in clinical, educational or community settings, and a capstone research project or dissertation in the final year.

Entry requirements

Admission is normally based on successful completion of a recognised secondary-school certificate (or equivalent) and meeting Qassim University general admission criteria. Applicants are expected to have appropriate secondary-school preparation in sciences or social sciences.
