Candidates without a degree but with substantial and demonstrable professional experience in education can be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Other application requirements routinely include a CV, a statement of professional aims, and referees who can comment on the applicant's suitability for postgraduate study. Where English is not the candidate's first language, evidence of proficiency in English may be required in line with University of Malta regulations.
