The Advanced MSW curriculum concentrates on advanced social work practice with individuals, families, groups and communities, blending clinical assessment and intervention with policy and organisational practice. Entry requirements

Applicants to the Advanced MSW pathway are expected to hold a BSW from a CSWE-accredited program or equivalent preparation. Admissions typically consider undergraduate academic performance, a personal statement describing professional goals and readiness for graduate-level social work, a current resume, and professional or academic references. Because field education and licensure standards are part of the training, applicants must be able to meet background check, immunisation or health clearance requirements required by practicum agencies and submit any documentation those agencies require.

Some applicants without a BSW may be advised to apply to the full MSW track; the programme’s admissions office can clarify eligibility and any prerequisite coursework needed to move into advanced standing.
