Track structure and credit distribution:
Applicants without a qualifying BSW should apply to the Traditional Track. The Advanced Standing Track is for applicants who earned a BSW from a CSWE‑accredited program within the last six years and achieved a 3.3 GPA in their last 60 credit hours. The Advanced Standing track admits once per year in the fall; listed application deadlines include June 1 for fall and March 1 for summer for that track. The program is part‑time only.
Graduates are prepared for clinical social work roles and are eligible to sit for state licensure exams; the program meets Florida educational eligibility for Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure. The MSW supports entry into positions such as social and community service manager, substance abuse and behavioral disorder counselor, marriage and family therapist, child, family and school social worker, and healthcare social worker. National projections cited by the program note average employment growth for social work around 12% through 2030.
Tuition is charged per credit hour; the online program lists a per‑credit rate of $487.45 and is structured in 7‑week terms. Prospective students should review UCF financial aid webpages and contact the program for available scholarships, assistantships or payment plans and verify total cost estimates based on the chosen track and remaining residency or placement requirements.
