What you'll study

Study at the host institution lasts one semester and is governed by a Learning Agreement that the student agrees with their exchange coordinator before departure. The host university must provide information about available courses, accommodation options and registration procedures. Courses taken at the host are later recognised by the home programme following the Learning Agreement. Completing the exchange at the host does not confer the right to receive a degree from that institution.

Entry requirements

The call is aimed at students enrolled in an official UAB Master’s programme who apply for a semester abroad via the Erasmus+ or UAB Exchange call. Specific application procedures, documentation and deadlines are published in the call; financial support is subject to approval of the participating institutions' budgets. For Swiss destinations, students must contact the host Swiss university’s International Relations Office regarding Swiss-European Mobility Programme funding.

Career prospects

An accredited semester abroad can enhance international experience, cross‑cultural skills and academic networks useful for careers in international organisations, research, public administration or any field valuing mobility and multilingual competence. The programme itself is a mobility mechanism rather than an academic specialisation, so professional outcomes depend on the student’s Master’s field and how they integrate the exchange into their study plan.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Placement in the mobility call does not guarantee financial support; any grant depends on the budgets allocated by the institutions involved. Switzerland is not covered by Erasmus+—students seeking support for Swiss destinations must liaise directly with the Swiss host’s International Relations Office under the Swiss-European Mobility Programme.
