What you'll study

The curriculum begins with core courses covering foundational health disciplines and inquiry methods and progresses to elective curriculum courses that allow students to specialise in areas such as leadership, policy analysis, planning, implementation, evaluation, change management and the development of research and project proposals. Students may choose a course-based route or a thesis-based route, and course-based students can select a health research focus. A teaching focus or a leadership focus is also available.

Entry requirements

Admission requires either a four-year health-related baccalaureate degree with a minimum GPA or a four-year non-health-related degree plus experience in the healthcare field. Applicants should consult the program details for the full admission requirements.

Graduates are prepared for leadership and advanced roles across health-care settings, including hospitals, government and non-profit organisations. Typical roles include health care administrator, clinical manager, health policy analyst, public health advisor, health services manager, health educator, research coordinator, community health organiser, health promotion specialist and health care consultant.
