What you'll study

The programme balances hands‑on studio practice with academic study. Core practical modules typically include Acting, Directing, Playwriting, Scene and Costume Design, Lighting and Sound, and Stagecraft/Technical Production. These are paired with theoretical and historical courses such as Theatre History, Dramaturgy, Performance Studies, and Contemporary Dramatic Literature.

Students also participate in production practicum: mounting scenes, one‑acts and full productions as actors, directors, designers or crew, gaining professional rehearsal and performance experience. Upper‑level work often culminates in a senior capstone—an individual research thesis or the direction/production of a substantial piece of theatre—alongside opportunities for cross‑disciplinary projects with film, music, dance and digital media.

Entry requirements
