What you'll study

The programme offers a balanced curriculum in core areas of psychology alongside applied skills development. You will study foundational subjects such as introduction to psychology, research methods and statistics, biological bases of behaviour, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology and social psychology. Core modules are complemented by courses in abnormal psychology, personality, learning and motivation, and ethics in psychology.

Lesley emphasises applied learning: coursework typically includes training in assessment and interviewing, evidence-based interventions, programme evaluation and practicum experiences in community settings. Students can usually choose elective pathways or concentrations that reflect interests such as clinical and counselling psychology, child and adolescent development, forensic psychology, or applied research.
