What you'll study

This interdisciplinary programme integrates advanced language training in one or more Romance languages (commonly Spanish, French and Italian) with coursework in literature, culture and the core subfields of linguistics. Core linguistic topics typically include phonetics and phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and sociolinguistics, as well as historical and comparative approaches to Romance languages. Literary and cultural modules survey medieval, early modern and modern literatures, film and cultural theory from the Spanish-, French- and Italian-speaking worlds.
