What you'll study

This programme blends core sustainability theory with practical skills in science, policy, planning and communication. Typical modules include systems thinking and sustainability frameworks, environmental science (ecosystems, biogeochemical cycles and climate science), environmental policy and governance, environmental economics, sustainable urbanism and land-use, renewable energy and resource management, geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial analysis, research methods, and ethics and community engagement.

The degree normally combines university general education requirements with a major-specific core and elective options that allow you to specialise in areas such as coastal and marine sustainability, urban resilience, sustainable business practices or conservation.
