What you'll study

The programme combines core training in historical methods and research with specialised study of medieval and early modern Europe. You will study political, social, religious and cultural developments across the period, including topics such as medieval monarchies and state formation, the Reformation and confessional cultures, everyday life and material culture, art and visual culture, book history and the early modern print revolution, and intellectual and legal traditions.
