The BSN at Kansas Wesleyan combines foundational sciences, liberal arts perspectives and progressive clinical coursework to develop competent, reflective registered nurses. Early semesters focus on anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and health assessment, together with communication, ethics and evidence‑based practice. Core nursing modules typically include adult health nursing, maternal–child and paediatric nursing, mental health/psychiatric nursing, community and public health nursing, and gerontological care.

Across the programme students complete multiple clinical practicums in a range of settings to build hands‑on skills and clinical reasoning. Dedicated modules in nursing administration cover leadership, quality improvement, health systems and workforce management, while nursing research prepares students to appraise and apply research to practice and to participate in quality initiatives.
