The Diagnostic Radiography BSc at the University of Leicester trains students to become qualified diagnostic radiographers who produce and interpret medical images to support diagnosis and treatment. This three-year honours degree combines academic study with substantial clinical practice to develop competence in image acquisition, radiation safety and patient-centred care. Practical learning is delivered through simulated skills sessions in university clinical skills facilities and assessed clinical placements with local NHS partners. Applicants are normally expected to have a strong science background from A-levels, Scottish Highers or equivalent Level 3 qualifications, with one science subject such as biology or physics recommended.
