What you'll study

This Master's programme builds on undergraduate training to deliver advanced competencies in corporate finance, financial reporting and management accounting. Core topics typically include corporate finance and valuation, financial markets and instruments, advanced financial accounting and reporting (including IFRS), managerial accounting and performance measurement, auditing and assurance, taxation, and financial statement analysis.

Students also study quantitative and research methods essential for contemporary finance and accounting work: econometrics, financial modelling, applied statistics for finance, and risk management. Optional modules and seminars often allow specialisation in areas such as forensic accounting, international taxation, investment analysis, banking regulation, or sustainability reporting. The programme normally concludes with an independent Master's thesis or a practicum project carried out in cooperation with a company or an academic supervisor.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally required to hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, economics, business or a closely related discipline. Candidates should provide an academic transcript and a diploma, a CV, and a statement of purpose or motivation letter outlining their interests and goals.

Depending on the language of instruction for the specific track, proof of proficiency in Polish or English may be required. Some specialisations may expect prior coursework in introductory finance, accounting and quantitative methods; applicants lacking specific prerequisites may be asked to complete bridging modules. Admissions can include evaluation of academic records and, in some cases, an interview or additional assessment.

Graduates go on to careers across the private and public sectors. Typical roles include financial analyst, management accountant, external or internal auditor, tax advisor, investment analyst, risk manager, treasury specialist and consultant. The programme also prepares students for roles in banks, investment firms, accounting and auditing firms, consultancy companies, multinational corporations and public administration.

Alumni who wish to continue in research can pursue doctoral studies in finance or accounting. Professional pathways often include preparation for industry certifications and licences relevant to accounting, auditing and financial services.
