What you'll study

Entry requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in physics, physical science, engineering or a closely related STEM field. Applicants with strong teaching experience and a degree in another discipline may be considered if they demonstrate sufficient physics knowledge.
  • Evidence of professional experience in education is highly desirable for the MPed: current or recent teaching, coaching, curriculum work or equivalent roles strengthen an application.
  • Academic transcripts, a personal statement outlining professional goals and reasons for undertaking the programme, and two or more letters of recommendation (preferably academic and professional).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English for applicants whose first language is not English, through an approved test or equivalent evidence where required by the university.
  • Some applicants may be invited to an interview or asked to submit a short teaching or lesson demonstration as part of the selection process.
