What you'll study

Basic Sciences (Years 1–2) focus on foundational medical science and early clinical exposure through term-based modules and observerships. The programme culminates in a comprehensive Kaplan review.

• Year One, Term I: Clinical Anatomy and Imaging; Embryology and Histology; Cell Biology; Clinical Observership (Primary Care); Medical History and Professionalism.
• Year One, Term II: Biochemistry; Physiology; Medical Genetics; Clinical Observership (Primary Care); Behavior and Health.
• Year One, Term III: Neuroscience; Medical Microbiology and Immunology; Clinical Observership (Primary Care); Wellness and Prevention.
• Year Two, Terms IV–V: Pathology and Pharmacology sequences; Clinical Observerships on Internal Medicine wards; Enquiry and Evidence-based Medicine; Medicine, Law and Ethics.
• Year Two, Term VI: Seven-week online Basic Sciences Comprehensive Review (Kaplan Review).

Clinical Sciences (Years 3–4) require 78 weeks of supervised rotations: 48 weeks of core clerkships and 30 weeks of electives.

• Core rotations (48 weeks): Family Practice (6w); Internal Medicine (12w); Obstetrics & Gynecology (6w); Pediatrics (6w); Psychiatry (6w); Surgery (12w).
• Electives (30 weeks): Choices include Allergy & Immunology, Anesthesiology, Colon & Rectal Surgery, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Internal Medicine subspecialties, Medical Genetics, Neurological Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pathology, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Preventive Medicine, Psychiatry, Radiology, Thoracic Surgery and others.

Entry requirements

The programme is designed for applicants entering with a bachelor’s degree. Instruction is delivered in English and follows a U.S.-modeled curriculum. Progression to clinical training follows successful completion of the Basic Sciences on campus.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared to sit international licensing examinations (USMLE Steps 1 and 2 CK; PLAB; MCCQE) and to apply for residency and clinical practice in multiple jurisdictions.
