What you'll study

The programme offers coursework that combines theology with practical pastoral skills. Example course titles and foci listed by the school include:

• Counseling Common Problems — approaches to anxiety, depression, guilt and fear from a biblical counseling perspective.
• Understanding World Religions — study of major religions’ belief systems, how tenets influence adherents, and interactions between religion and host cultures.
• Soul Care in Leadership — practices for accompanying people in pain and question, emphasizing incarnational presence and spiritual care rather than simply fixing problems.

Entry requirements

Applicants normally must hold a four‑year bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent. Graduates of Bible colleges, liberal arts colleges and state universities are encouraged to apply. Applicants from non‑accredited pre‑seminary institutions or with pre‑seminary GPAs below 2.5 may be admitted on academic restriction. Candidates without a bachelor’s degree may be considered if they meet specified ministry and research/writing requirements; MA applicants may also face additional non‑academic requirements and longer ministry experience expectations. Admission materials include official transcripts (or unofficial while completing a current degree) and a spiritual life reference. International applicants must submit TESOL test scores and a financial certificate showing sufficient funding. Career prospects

The programme provides foundational training aimed at preparing students to serve as military or Veterans Administration chaplains, equipping graduates with theological grounding and practical skills in counseling, leadership and intercultural ministry contexts.
