Veterinary Medicine - Medicine Undergraduate Foundation Programme
The Veterinary Medicine – Medicine Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) prepares international students for entry into Year 1 of selected Medicine degrees at partner universities. Successful completion may enable progression to a five-year Medicine degree, subject to meeting all progression requirements. If you do not meet the progression criteria for the Medicine UFP, you may be advised to consider the Life Sciences UFP, which can lead to progression options for 6-year Medicine degrees at partner universities. Who is this programme designed for? This UFP is designed for applicants who have completed senior secondary education and meet the academic and English requirements. Students must also satisfy the programme’s selection process (including the Multiple Mini Interview, where applicable) and meet the age requirements: you must be 17 on the course start date and 18 by the start of the progression course at the university. How will I be assessed? Assessment is based on a mix of examinations and practical work. Maths and English are assessed by exam, while Biology and Chemistry are assessed through a combination of exam and practical components.

- Standard MUFP (2 semesters): minimum score of 6.0 IELTS (or equivalent), with no single component below 6.0
The Extended programme includes an English language module followed by two semesters of the UFP.
