This master’s programme combines theoretical foundations with applied tools for designing, analysing and managing supply chains. Core topics typically include supply chain strategy and design, operations and production planning, procurement and supplier management, logistics and distribution, inventory theory and optimisation, demand forecasting, and sustainable supply chain practices. Quantitative and technical modules cover topics such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, advanced analytics for supply chains, simulation and modelling, optimisation methods and data-driven decision making.

Students also study cross-functional areas such as project management, quality management, risk management in global supply chains, and legal/contractual aspects of international trade. The course usually includes case studies, practical laboratories using industry software, and a capstone project or thesis that applies methods to an organisational problem or research question in logistics or supply chain management.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a recognised bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, economics, logistics, industrial engineering or a closely related discipline. Relevant professional experience in operations, logistics, procurement or supply chain roles is advantageous and may be required for candidates without a directly related undergraduate qualification. Admission typically requires academic transcripts, a curriculum vitae, a statement of purpose explaining career objectives, and references.

Proficiency in Spanish is required for programmes taught in Spanish, and some courses or materials may reference English-language technical literature, so practical English skills are helpful. Candidates may also be asked to attend an interview or provide evidence of quantitative skills depending on their academic background.

Graduates are prepared for managerial and specialist roles across the full supply chain. Typical positions include supply chain manager, logistics and distribution manager, procurement or sourcing manager, operations manager, demand planner, inventory control manager, and supply chain analyst.
